Phil LaMarr

A Los Angeles native, Phil is an alumnus of Yale University and The Groundlings Theater and perhaps is best known as one of the original cast members of MAD TV, as “Hermes” on FUTURAMA, as "Marvin" in PULP FICTION, “Green Lantern” on JUSTICE LEAGUE and as the voice of SAMURAI JACK.

For over 30 years Phil has thrilled audiences on camera and behind the mic with work on TV shows such as STATIC SHOCK, FAMILY GUY, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (2012), YOUNG JUSTICE, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, the CW’s THE FLASH & SUPERGIRL, GET SHORTY, LUCIFER, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM and VEEP; feature films like MADAGASCAR 2, INCREDIBLES 2, and THE LION KING (2019) and video games including VAMPIRE THE MASQUERADE – BLOODLINES, FORTNITE, SHADOW OF MORDOR (for which he won the NAVGTR award for best supporting actor), and the INJUSTICE, METAL GEAR SOLID, DARKSIDERS, and MORTAL KOMBAT series.

His stage work includes productions with The Actor’s Gang, South Coast Repertory and Sacred Fools Theatre, and the award-winning production of “We Are Proud To Present...” at The Matrix Theatre. Phil also portrayed “Cowboy Curtis” in "The Pee-wee Herman Show" both on Broadway and in the Emmy-nominated HBO special.

Currently, along with writing and producing an animated version of the web comic "GOBLINS,"(www.goblinsanimated.com) and the web series "Inside The Legend" (http://www.youtube.com/user/InsideTheLegend)" Phil is performing monthly with "THE BLACK VERSION" (www.theblackversion.com), as well as appearing in "Craig Of The Creek”, “DC Superhero Girls,” “The Loud House” and starring in Tyler The Creator's animated series, "The Jellies" for Adult Swim.
